ProptechOS is launching a new generation of autonomous AI agents specifically developed for the real estate industry. Unlike traditional generative AI, which primarily produces analyses and responses, ProptechOS agents are designed to perform operational work directly within existing property systems. The agents operate within clearly defined permissions and security frameworks and escalate to a responsible human when decisions require approval.
The real estate industry is facing increasing demands for productivity and scalability. The launch comes at a time when the sector is being reshaped by new analysis from Morgan Stanley, indicating that up to 37% of tasks within real estate organizations could be transformed or automated through AI. ProptechOS positions agentic proptech as the next step after digitalization — where AI not only shows what is happening in properties but also performs the work.
The AI agents are already live in production with several leading real estate players, including Vasakronan (Sweden), Locum (Sweden), Howard Hughes Communities (USA), and KLP Eiendom (Norway). Today, ProptechOS agents cover 66 operational processes, where they support or can replace work that would otherwise be performed manually or require human supervision. By operating in an integrated manner within customers’ system environments, the agents manage tasks related to operations and property management, data flows, and performance monitoring across entire property portfolios.
One ProptechOS customer, with a property portfolio exceeding two million square meters, reports already seeing clear evidence that certain services currently purchased externally may become unnecessary at the next contract renewal.

From digital assistant to digital colleague
ProptechOS is a cloud-based operating system for real estate that collects and structures data from buildings, systems, and applications into a shared digital model built on open standards such as RealEstateCore. By creating a unified execution layer for data, workflows, and integrations, the platform enables autonomous AI agents to monitor, analyze, and act directly within connected system environments, under clearly defined permissions and with human oversight.
In connection with the launch, 42 specialized AI agents are being introduced. Together, they cover a growing share of operational processes within real estate organizations and automate a significant portion of repetitive work.
The agents can, for example:
- identify operational deviations and reduce energy waste through continuous monitoring of building systems
- prevent peak loads by controlling loads such as EV charging and temperature settings within defined parameters
- relieve property management and operations teams by sorting, analyzing, and prioritizing fault reports before they reach the organization
- streamline leasing and administrative workflows by automatically generating drafts and structuring business data with human oversight
Security, transparency, and control built in from the start
To enable autonomous work in real system environments, security and transparency are central to the ProptechOS architecture. Each agent is governed by three components:
- Instructions, which define the assignment and working methods
- Permissions, which determine exactly which systems and data the agent can access
- Triggers, which determine when work begins — for example, based on schedules, events, or data deviations
This enables agents to operate continuously and at scale without acting outside defined boundaries, with clear traceability of what is proposed and executed.
The next step is to scale the agents across more customers, more business-critical processes, and more specialized roles, with a focus on measurable productivity, reduced administrative burden, and faster operational decision-making within real estate organizations.
